Leeds United already informed club-record fee needed to sign ‘top-quality’ striker

Leeds United’s January transfer window has sprung into life.

Leeds confirmed the signing of Facundo Buonanotte on loan from Brighton on Thursday, and the 21-year-old could soon be joined by another fresh face.

Farke is in the market for a new centre-forward, and Leeds have made an approach to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen from Wolves.

The West Yorkshire side are yet to make a bid for the Norwegian international, but with the Old Gold staring down the barrel of relegation, they could struggle to hold onto him.

Wolves want £40m for Jorgen Strand Larsen

Leeds looked doomed for the drop like Wolves at the start of December; however, going unbeaten in seven of their last eight matches has seen them pull eight points clear.
