Tyler Dibling could easily be on his way out of Everton on loan this month.
Everton were knocked out of the FA Cup against Sunderland on Saturday, and based on their performance for the most part, it was probably deserved.
The Toffees were woeful for the first 45 minutes, though a lot of that can be put down to the several first-team absences.
However, the performances of those who were gifted a chance to impress in that situation did little to do so, and it was Dibling who certainly failed to take his opportunity more than anyone else.
Dibling justifies David Moyes’ decision
Given the money that was spent on Dibling and the hype that he arrived at Merseyside with, his lack of gametime this season had been baffling.
The teenager has started just four games in the Premier League this season, with just 320 minutes of football played under David Moyes.
However, more often than not, when he has been handed a start, he’s failed to showcase why he deserves a longer run in the team.
Against Sunderland, he looked disinterested, and that is only backed up by the fact that he won just one duel and completed just one defensive action, according to Sofascore.
Added to that, he offered nothing in possession. Dibling was dispossessed on several occasions and made Trai Hume’s job much easier by always wanting to come inside on his left foot.
That was his chance to show Moyes why he needs to play more regularly, and he failed to take it, and that could prove to be his last chance with murmours of a loan exit for the 19-year-old.
