Leeds United hero makes controversial comments regarding current member of Daniel Farke’s squad – fans will be furious

The transfer window has been open for almost two weeks and Leeds United are yet to make a move. The Whites were expected to at least add some reinforcements considering that their relegation rivals will also add to their teams.

West Ham have already made a couple of signings, while Forest and Wolves are eyeing key targets. Things tend to change very quickly in the Premier League so Leeds cannot take anything for granted.

Gaetano Berardi thinks Leeds United man will flourish after move

One player that is said to be on his way out of Elland Road is Jack Harrison. Reports emerged a few days ago that Fiorentina were the front runners for the winger’s signature. No deal has been agreed yet, but the Serie A club are having talks. Former Leeds United star Gaetano Berardi has supported the move, as he thinks Harrison will be a big hit in Italy:

“I have wonderful memories of Jack,” he told Firenze Viola.

“I’d be delighted to see him in Italy. He could provide significant support. Besides being a skilled dribbler, he’s also an exemplary professional.

“Athletically, he’s a ready player. Considering the current Premier League, he could make a difference.”

“My explanation is that he’s a very generous player who works hard defensively. By changing the system, he could also find his feet in attack,”

Fans will be furious after comments

Gaetano Berardi was a fan favourite when he was at Elland Road. But fans will no doubt be furious with him showing his support for Jack Harrison. Ever since the Whites were relegated, their relationship with the winger has grown sour – he was one of the first to find a move away when they went down.

The winger spent two seasons out on loan and even made comments against the fanbase. Bringing him back in the summer was a mistake, and now he has shown the 49ers and Daniel Farke why they should not have kept him around in the first place.
