After Jarrad Branthwaite, Everton have just announced more positive injury news

Everton have been hit with an injury crisis in recent weeks, but the tide is starting to shift.

Jarrad Branthwaite has been out injured all season, but Everton issued some really positive news on that front this week.

The Toffees confirmed that Branthwaite is back in light training, so he’s set to return to action imminently.

Now, the Merseysiders have just made another announcement on an injured player, and thankfully, it’s good news.

Seamus Coleman set to return ‘soon’

Seamus Coleman hasn’t played since Everton’s 1-0 win at Manchester United back in November, when he was forced off after 10 minutes.

Coleman has been out with a hamstring injury that was more serious than it initially looked, but after almost two months on the sidelines, he’s nearly back.

Everton have just posted on their X account that the veteran right-back is stepping up his recovery at Finch Farm.

The club showed a clip of Coleman looking sharp on the training pitch and said he’s set to join back up with David Moyes’ squad ‘soon’.

Seamus Coleman’s return could change Everton’s transfer plans

It has been reported that Moyes is now prioritising a right-back over a striker, which came as a surprise to many fans.

The priority has always been a centre-forward leading up to the window, but clearly Moyes was starting to doubt Jake O’Brien.

That could now change though, with Coleman due back, as he was actually playing really well before he got injured.

Perhaps the club may turn their focus back towards bringing in a striker instead of a right-back, and then address that area in the summer when Coleman’s contract expires.
